Prior to to founding Lantern Capital Advisors, Chris Risey was Managing Director for Tunstall Consulting Inc. in Tampa, Florida, and had been with the firm since 1997.  Mr. Risey successfully helped his clients navigate the investment banking community by raising capital from a variety of institutions including banks, mezzanine and subordinated debt providers, venture capitalists and underwriters.  Mr. Risey left Tunstall Consulting after nine years to pursue his own firm and provide his corporate financial consulting services to clients via a more flexible cost-effective solution.  Prior to Tunstall, Mr. Risey was in the audit and advisory services group for Arthur Andersen in New Orleans, Louisiana.

 

Risey is very active in many local civic and business organizations.   He is a past president and founding member of the Tampa Downtown Daybreak Rotary Club; past President of Financial Executives International of Tampa Bay and a board member for The Association for Corporate Growth Tampa Chapter.  Mr. Risey is a Certified Public Accountant and a frequent speaker throughout the Southeast on business planning and financing issues for growing companies.

 

Mr. Risey received his BS in Finance from the University of South Florida.  He was twice named Academic All-American (Men’s Basketball) and is a former Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar studying graduate business courses at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
